Effective date: August 30, 2026
ReelGrid ("we", "our", or "the app") makes photo and video collages on your device. This policy explains what the app accesses, what leaves your device, and what does not.
ReelGrid asks for access to your photo library so you can pick photos and videos for a collage, and for permission to save a finished collage back to your library. You may also import an audio or music file (for example from the Files app) to use as a background track.
All of this media is read and processed on-device only. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party. We have no ability to access, recover, or delete media on your device.
ReelGrid uses Google Firebase Analytics to record anonymous product-usage events — for example that a collage was exported, that a filter or audio layer was used, that a paywall was shown, or that a purchase or restore was attempted. This tells us which features people use and where the app is failing.
These events describe actions, not content. They never include your photos, videos, audio, filenames, or any text you type into a collage.
| Service | Purpose | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Apple App Store | Processing purchases | Payment and billing details, handled entirely by Apple. We never see them. |
| RevenueCat | Managing subscription entitlements | Anonymised transaction data — whether Pro is active, and an anonymous app user ID. |
| Google Firebase Analytics | Product-usage measurement | The anonymous feature-usage events described above, plus standard device metadata such as model, OS version, and country. |

ReelGrid shows no advertising. It contains no advertising SDK, does not access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), does not present the App Tracking Transparency prompt, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
ReelGrid has no accounts and no sign-in. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or contacts. If you email us for support, we hold that correspondence only for as long as it takes to answer you.
Your collages, projects, and app settings are stored on your device and are deleted when you delete the app. Analytics events are retained by Firebase under Google's standard retention window and are not linked to a real-world identity.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or the CCPA to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you, and to object to its processing. Because ReelGrid holds no account and no directly identifying information, in practice there is very little to act on — but you can:
We do not sell or share personal information, as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
ReelGrid is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Our service providers named above may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards described in their own privacy policies.
We may update this policy as the app changes. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
